Viyniar, who had just turned 14 in the start of this story, was a young programmer and artist. Seeking a way out of an emotionally and physically abusive household, Viyn found an online advertisement for a newer software company, Surivitna technologies incorporated. They decided to apply for the position and ended up getting it. The beginning of their job was normal. They programmed websites, and fixed and tested code for errors. However, Viyn would be tasked only two weeks into their job to create a browser game for a virtual pet. They would create and code the pet, a dragon-like creature they named Bob, whom they really loved. But they would soon find out Bob was just an experiment by Surivitna to “scan” real animals into the computer, using complex machinery. Bob was an experiment to see if they could mix the instincts of multiple animals, fusing their brains together and coding them into the “body” Viyn designed for them. The virtual pet game would act as a shell. Viyn, horrified, tried to quit the job, by making a bolt for the exit. However, AJ Helmwick, Surivitna founder, demanded his bodyguards stop the teen, holding them captive. AJ then used the machine to scan Viyn into the nearest electronic device, which happened to be a Chromebook. Viyn ended up trapped in the Chromebook for almost a year, while Surivitnas employees would experiment with messing with their “code” Viyn managed to gain control over their prison, realizing they could manipulate the Chromebook to their liking. They could essentially still use the Chromebook as normal, except they were inside of it. Bob was soon uploaded to their Chromebook using a usb cable. However, in light of Viyn being reported missing after not showing up to school, Surivitna Tech closed down their headquarters in New Jersey, and moved it overseas to London, UK. During this move, a sort of found family group, who called themselves the LPT, were busy deafeating an evil imposter version of the Queen of England, this is not important to Viyns lore but I thought I’d include it because it’s funny. Viyn was trapped in the Chromebook until the screen of it cracked after being dropped. A newer employee saw it and left it on the side of the road for free. Later, Ice would discover the Chromebook and take the suspicious looking electronic to the LPT’s secret headquarters. Back at the LPTs headquarters or whatever , Ice showed Emery the Chromebook Emery, a detective dedicated to documenting and solving the events of the LPT, opened it up, despite Ices warnings that it may be dangerous, cursed, Possesed, poisioned, filled with uranium, or something. They were both shocked to see a person trapped inside of it. Every and Viyn would glow close, with Viyn becoming a detective alongside Emery and helping them with documenting the LPT’s events.
