Japan is also known for it’s beautiful scenery - this is not for you to set on fire! The Japanese concept of “mottai nai” means to not waste or destroy things. This includes buildings! This one is especially hard to adhere to but after living here a while you adjust. 5 - Child abandonment. It may be tempting to leave your children in Japan, in order to enrich their backstory and for them to be raised in a culture you love, but this is actually really dangerous for the child and not accepted in Japan! Maybe take them home with you.
