The Land of Stories By Theo Israel-Davis The Land of Stories is a fantasy book by Chris Colfer. This story takes place in the Land of the Stories. The Land of Stories consists of 6 kingdoms: The Red Riding Kingdom,The Charming Kingdom,The Sleeping Kingdom,The Northern Kingdom,The Fairy Kingdom, and The Corner Kingdom. There are more places such as The Dwarf Forest, The Troll and Goblin Territory, and mermaid bay. The two main characters are: Conner, and Alex Three of my favorite characters are Red Riding Hood,The Enchantress, and Goldilocks. Red Riding Hood is the elected queen of The Red Riding Kingdom.She is unsure and worried about many things she is also in love with Jack. She posses one of the items of the wishing spell. The Enchantress is the main villain of the story and is a wicked person because her mother left when she was young and her evil father raised her and then when she fell in love with someone he didn’t like so he trapped the love in a mirror. Goldilocks is a fugitive in every kingdom.She also loves jack.When she was young Little Red decide to get her to not love jack by tricking her to go to the bears house and saying that jack called her there. The main theme of this book is to never give up. In this this story Conner and Alex have found themselves trapped in the land of stories. They fell into the book when Conner scared alex and she fell into the book. Once they had gotten trapped in the book they had found out about the wishing spell. They both travel around The land of stories looking for the items in the wishing spell. But uh-oh the evil enchantress has decided to try to find the items from the wishing spell too, and she does. Then she uses them to get her love out of her magic mirror. But dies with the loved one. In the end Conner and Alex find out that their grandma is a fairy godmother and brings them back. I think that this was a good book. It was very entertaining in many ways, such as comedy, action, and good old fashioned good vs. evil, with a twist. If I could change the ending of this book I would have the enchantress live, and the enchantresses lover as well. I think that if the author had done this the reader would be able to see more character growth from them. I would very much recommend this series because it has many story elements that are needed for a good story.
