In creating my found poem, I wished to demonstrate several aspects about the main protagonist of my book, Musashi. In doing this, I took a majority of my words from a single scene within the novel, being a scene of action. As the poem progresses, it moves from initial realization of doubt on Musashi’s part, into a reflection of his own technique, then into the final overcoming of doubt, and becoming victorious. In order to accomplish this, I focused each stanza on a major idea. For instance, the first stanza sets the scene of the poem, as well as introducing doubt. Then, the second stanza displays Musashi's critical eye, as he examines his own technique, although with a doubtful eye. Finally, the last stanza shows Musashi's courage, as he finally takes action, and overcomes his doubt. This element is doubt is further emphasized by the repeated use of the word "Inferiority", as well as the word "Superiority", which shows Musashi's current feeling from stanza to stanza.
