I was born in Ogden, Weber County, Utah on November 27th, 1916. My father was Abraham Peterson, born in Heber City, Utah, son of Bengt Peterson (Pehresson) and Albertina Larsson. My grandfather and grandmother were both native of Sweden but didn’t know each other there. My mother was Margaret Camp, son of Williams Peter Camp Sr. and Ann Morse. She was born in Samaria Oneida County, Idaho. My maternal Grandpa was of Welsh descent born in Salt Lake City and lived across the street from Brigham Young and played with his children. My Maternal grandmother was born in Wales and came to the Country after her parents joined the church in Wales and came to the country. She walked across the plains when a young girl with one of the handcart companies. I was the fourth of 10 children in our family and just as I reached kindergarten-age, we moved to Salt Lake City on Commonwealth Ave and lived there until I was in second grade.
