Good Evening ladies and gentlemen and fellow future freshman, my name is Erik Ostrop and I just want to start off and say thank you for everyone coming out here tonight; I would also like to thank our district superintendent Dr. Mary Kamerzell and our principal Ms. Mary Setliff and also our Esperero faculty. I am up here tonight to tell how my time has been at this school and how I have changed throughout my years that I have been here. When I first got here at Esperero I didn’t know what I was going to expect. My teachers in fifth grade really prepared me for sixth grade. It was an interesting experience when started my first day of sixth grade. I knew it was going to be a big challenge. I remember going to my locker and being so nervous it took me a few tries to unlock my locker. A few days had past by, then a few weeks, then months and then it was summer and then I was going into 7th grade. I remember the first day of 6th grade and how apprehensive I was and little did I know these faces were to become some of my best friends. We are now ending 8th grade and going to restart our journey to head for new experiences in high school and say goodbye to some of those best friends and best teachers that we have had. I hate to see our best friends leave and go to different schools but I know they will be getting their own experiences and be living their own high school challenges.
