External Good: Glasses I chose this as my external good because of how it assists me. I am able to see a lot better and a lot clearer because of them which in turn I am able to live a more "normal life." The concept of glasses is truly life changing for anyone who has trouble seeing which is why I believe nobody should take glasses for granted. Every once in a while I just end up realizing how lucky I am for being fortunate enough to be able to see properly with glasses while someone else is wishing to get them. This is truly an external good that brings me happiness and I’m sure it brings many other people happiness as well. To connect this with Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle, "In medicine this is health, in strategy victory, in architecture a house, in any other sphere something else, and in every action and the pursuit the end.” This connects to my external good because the end for my glasses would be my eyesight. Pleasure: Taking care of and spending time with my brother I chose this as my pleasure because of how much of my life it has taken up. As the older sibling that is home most of the time I am usually tasked with taking care of my younger brother. Of course this doesn’t mean that I’ve always enjoyed it, but I enjoy it enough for me to put it in this project. Most of the time I’m helping my brother with his homework or assisting him with some other task which could get in the way of what I was doing previously but I’d still help him because it is my "brotherly duty" to do so. I know that the term "brotherly duty" makes it seem like I don’t enjoy it or that I think that it’s a chore but I do enjoy it because knowing that I’ve assisted another living, breathing human being makes me feel good inside, and knowing that the living, breathing human being is my brother makes me feel even better. To relate this to Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle, "Happiness then is the best, noblest, and most pleasant thing in the world, and these attributes are not severed as in the inscription at Delos—- Most noble is that
