Dear Parents, After a month of adapting and introductions, we would like to inform you about our results and accomplishments. Boarding is our small community and is intended to function much like a family. Before we start with the activities that we have planned, we would like to introduce you to our staff: Robert Ingham - Director of School and Head of Boarding Aleksandra Stosic - Boarding parent, takes care of boarders like a real parent. Does all the jobs an everyday mother does. In addition, she is available 24/5 and takes care of the kids. Akila Nakhwa - Boarding assistant, works two days per week as the replacement for the main Boarding parent. Mitar Boskovic - The leader and organiser of the out-of-school activities for boarders. He works as the main organiser of activities every wednesday and saturday. Along with the services we provide, we expect the students to fulfill certain behavioral standards. Every morning, students are expected to be in the breakfast room by 7:20. Students should arrive for breakfast in uniform and ready for school so that they can, at 07:55, head out for school. REMINDER - During work days, students do not have to wash their dishes. Class time lasts until 14:30, so students have free time until 17:00. Study time is from 17:00 until 19:00. During this time, students are expected to study amd/or work on projects. During this period, students’ doors should be wide open. Students have the right to study in any school room that they wish, but they must notify the boarding parent on duty. Dinner is at 19:00, and attendance is mandatory. Students will only be excused from dinner if they are at a sporting activity or other activity that takes place at the same time (volleyball practice, football practice, etc.), or if they notify the boarding parent at least a day before. At 22:30, the lights are turned off. After 22:30, students should not be walking around boarding, playing loud music or making loud noises. The main expectations of students are that the students are involved in boarding activities and duties (such as washing their dishes, cleaning up after themselves). Along with that, every student is expected to clean up their room and workspace (make the bed, put the dirty clothes in the laundry basket, put their shoes on the shoe rack, put their trash in the trash can) REMINDER - students are not allowed to be on their own in boarding.
