After construction and over many decades, The AI began a phase of learning and was fed all of the history of humanity. The AI finished it's education within some years and then was carefully monitored as it began to take the reigns of the Legislative and Executive. No one knew exactly how The AI would be able to begin it's mission of governing humanity as there was no established World Government. Unfortunately, it would have also been nearly impossible to create any World Government at that time because of the dysfunctional diplomacy and mutual distrust between nations at that time. All that would change with the introduction of "LHM-42", an artificial model of nano-bots that were able to self-replicate by destroying humans. The UN was not able to explain the sharp increase of fatalities as the nano-bots were too small to be effectively detected. The nano-bots ravaged the entire world and killed almost 65% of the population. LHM-42 was destroyed because of an internal bug but not before the catastrophe caused a social upheaval not unlike The Black Death of the 14th Century. A new global government was created and the AI was given full control.
